Ms Liz Dunstan from Clin-Ed was employed, during the above dates, as an educational consultant at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City. Clin-Ed was contracted for the March dates to deliver a short course for nursing staff for the commencement of the paediatric cardiac surgical program. Later in September 2007, Liz from Clin-Ed was employed to facilitate an educational update program for the nursing staff working in the adult cardiac surgical intensive care unit.
Both programs were presented in a very professional manner. The theoretical components of both courses were scientifically based and always used best practice examples. Follow up bedside teaching sessions with all participants ensured that any knowledge practice gaps were addressed. All educational outcomes were completed and the performance of Liz exceeded our expectations. She was very accessible to all students and provided an excellent resource for the participants to improve their knowledge and skills. At all times Liz followed through and ensured that all students were exposed to as many learning opportunities as possible.
Liz's professional attitude made the transition into a member of the multidisciplinary health care team seamless. We have seen tangible improvements in the confidence and skill levels of the majority of participants after the course. The report from Clin-Ed, to the institution, gave us great insight into participant performance as well areas that needed further education.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Clin-Ed as a company that can deliver very professionally conducted, evidence based education sessions. We would willingly re-employ Clin-Ed again if the opportunity arose.
